Discuss Ledridge GU10 5w led's in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

never heard of them. do they need to be ledridge?

I'm going to jump on the back of this post, apologies, but I'm after some G4 LEDS, 20w equivalents and there are some real cheap ones on ebay but I always think you gets what you pay for and they much be a load of sheet. Can anyone recommend where to buy some? I'm after about 25, they need to be the barrel/column type and not the disc to fit in downlighters.

Cheers.

yes they have to be ledridge i have already installed 69 of these in a salon, there was a lot of trial and error, these are perfect colour wise & brightness. I install a lot of plastic ceilings & these are perfect. Archy i have tried this company & they cannot deliver until 2nd jan. I need them 29th december.

Cheers

I don't agree with you get what you pay for , we are being ripped off in this country for leds , most are made in China anyway , buy from ebay but as always check for high good feedback I've bought over 50 leds no probs with any

Can you please send me the name of the seller if poss? I've read a few reviews of folk stating they've bought cheapies shipped in from Hong Kong only to have to send them back as they lasted 2 mins. It seems crazy the price range as you can get 25 SMD ones for £1 each on Fleabay and yet other LED shops sell them for £9 a pop. There's got to be good reason hasn't there?

Happihome is the name of seller, I've used a few times for bulbs and never had any probs , im an approved electrician so wouldn't use sub standard goods ,

Thanks for that, I'll have a looksee. They're for a boat, I don't want to have to stick 20w G4 Halogens as I have 20 of them and 400w at 12v = 33.33 a/hr whereas the LEDS would be 40w 3.33 a/h, a huge difference on the battery bank.
