Customer is making "a statement" with the lighting in the entrance vestibule of their enormous cavern of a house. They have 2 bloody enormous chandaliers that are going to take a hell of a lot of putting up, I'll definitely have to hire in a scaff and maybe even some winching gear.
Lucky me.
I remember a while back someone posted up a link to some fantastic old style switches and sockets, you know the ones with the round, fluted covers on them.
If you know of anywhere please let me know, I JFGId but I'm not finding what they want yet.

Olivers are very good used them quite a few times.
For the chandelier try the likes of HSS for site hoists and pulleys..
I usually mount the hoist in the loft or if you have help just pulleys will do

And he invented the mechanism for London's tower bridge and for our humble swing bridge in Newcastle. Still in use too.

But in all truth Trev....big difference from lighting up a long road like Embankment....to a whole town like Newcastle...lol

That is in the link I posted . I was going to link to Lord Armstrong but I don't want half of the south on our worn out back roads lol.

See if you've got a wholesaler that stocks Clipsal near you, Clipsal who are now part of Schneider have a 'heritage' range of switches and sockets etc. I suggest them cause your more likely to find matching new fandangled stuff like TV and USB outlets etc.
