Looking for some advice.

Hi All,

Im Davie and from central Scotland, 40 years old and been learning the trade over the last 4 years while holding down my full time job in inspection / engineering.
I have attended courses which have cost a few quid and picked up a few City & Guild qualifications : 2382 17th Edition,2392 Fundemental Inspection & 2377 PAT testing and I also intend doing 2391 inspection and testing in October.
The problem I have is I cant get any real hands on experience other than jobs for family etc.I have sent out multiple letters and emails and even placed adverts locally offering my services for free evening and weekends.I have all my own gear,tools,transport etc.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Welcome tothe forum Davie. Phone calls have always worked better for me. Its hard to ignore someone when you have to talk to them whereas a letter can just be chucked in the bin.
