Hi,

When fitting double insulated downlights wired in parallel what is your preferred way of joining and insulating the earth cables to ensure continuity?

Usually if the cutout is a little to big

twist and tape could work loose ,Ashley J501 jb as the cables should be clamped and a flex to the down lighter

Wago's in a wago box or choc box, flex to d/l.

I hate fiddly JB's

Do choc boxes have a three entry/exit unit (not sure that makes sense) or do you still have to clamp two cables together on exit for downlights

You also get them with screw down cord grip which makes them ok for the 17th edition

Used the clicks once, but the cable grips didn't seem to hold the 1.5 t+e very well.

chocie box/ heat resistant flex out to the light .
no flamin cpc twisting
see D/L wired direct to t&e , usually the ones that stick out due to the stiffness of the cable pushing on em ,total rubbish and no need!

Do you choc box every down light or just the first then piggy back your flex to the rest????????????????????????????????????????????

Just looked at these and they look good - i like the fact they have three ways

i use hundreds especially for down lighters rated at 16 amps or you can use the maintaince free ones 801's i think rated at 20 amp they are not cheap but a very proffesional finish and so easy to use
