Is it just me or does anyone else want to see this lot fall flat on their face next season? Mark Hughes is a good bloke but i dont agree with the wages they are willing to pay some 'star players', and in my opinion its making them look stupid and greedy.

Any thoughts people? Any one a Man city fan?

arsenal dont either?! they buy cheap players and sell them for a fortune, and these clubs you have mentioned have spent many years strengthening their squads and bringing players through their academys which manchester city dont seem to be doing.

I'm a man city season ticket holder and we just doing what chelsea did and liverpool and the trafford rags have been doing for ages. Now city have money everyone hates us if it was your team what would say.

Just my opinion but i think the wages and transfer fees have got out of hand.
Football is no longer the competitive game it was, played by local `ish` lads for their local teams.
There is no chance for most clubs to break into the top four unless santa claus visits like he has done at Man City.
At least Man City will probably be a new addition to the top four but i would much rather see someone like Aston Villa break into it they have built their success on the back of good business a brilliant manager and sheer hard work. No i am not a Villa Fan, for my sins i follow Bradford City, we have had our day with the big boys, but we were never going to compete for europe were we, sadly we have fallen all the way to the bottom again but hopefully we will get back as high as the championship in the future, personnaly i can see the point in the likes of Bradford or other clubs of the same ilk ever going into the premiership.

I'm a villa fan, and i like to think we are a level headed side who pay respectable wages to decent players, but when teams like manchester city are offering players 250 000 quid a week then respectable teams are going to lose their best players simply over money.

Football has gone completely mad , the money being spent has got out of hand . I think a wage cap will soon be the answer or the same clubs will dominate forever .

A wage cap would not work they did it rugby league and wigan had players wifes as cleaners on £50000. There will be a euopean league in a few years and thats went it will fall apart quicker than a chinese motorbike.

Players are going to city for the money, worked very well for Abromivochic an Morinho, money does buy success. I am looking forward, and cant wait for the season to start. City are going to be the team to beat. They will get stuffed by Manchester United the Greatest Team on the Planet. I Wonder how sparky is going to manage a team of 6 superstar strikers who will all want 90 mins every game. Maybe they wont give a rats take the money and leave after a season with more money than they know what do with. yeah but look at chelsea now, havent done much recently eh, and thats a load of cobblers about supporting your local football team. people support clubs for many different reasons, i am hardly a glory supported lol, ive followed villa since the days of dean saunders and dalian atkinson, when football used to be about the game on the pitch, not the figures in the bank account.
