I was thinking of buying a clamp meter to use for domestic/commercial work and I thought this one looked ok, has anyone used this? If so was it any good? I don't know much about clamp meters, ideally I would like one that measures earth leakage (mA) right up to about 250 amps but none of the reasonably priced ones seem to do both. I also liked the look of the dilog DL6507 but dont really want to have to buy both. what's everyone's thoughts?

I have this and the 320 model. Good bit of kit. I also have the DCM300E for measuring leakage (ooh-err)

The Megger clamp meter is a good one, though in my opinion, way over priced. Check out ''Test Meter'' a forum sponsor for more reasonably priced units. The TM model has similar resolutions to the Megger, at a far lower price!!!

proiritise the earth leakage , IMO. not often you'll want to measure 200A+, esp in a domestic.

Current clamps are relatively cheap to purchase, you could probably by 2 clamp meters one earth leakage clamp and an Amp clamp for less money than you would pay for the Megger unit... lol!!
