Hello All,

Just a quickie, I am working on a large house renovation and it has had a new 3 phase supply installed by Western Power. EDF are coming to fit a meter to said supply on friday but I have been informed by EDF's office that he will insist on seeing a certificate for the installation. Fair enough although the install is (very) incomplete so as far as he's concerned all there is is a 100amp 3 phase isolator that I installed so that he had something to connect to. My question is what will he want? Basically the only test I can do is an IR test isn't it? all other tests are either on the individual circuits or live tests (eg Ze) which of course I can't access yet. I haven't installed main bonding because the water/gas main are not in and the schedule of inspections is going to look a little 'skinny' to say the least. Any help or experience would be gratefully read. Cheers BB.

They can e-mail or fax you a certificate, you only need to sign it, when they say certificate it is one of their bits of paper which means you take responsibility for the installation, usually you just need to put your scam number on it with a signature and thats good enough

I had it in Cornwall about 10 years we had to drive all the back to do dead tests or they would not put meter on, never found out why, and I am in Bournemouth !

This is the DNO,s requirements not the meter blokes as he probably don't give a s*** you could start writing the cert out and leave the rest till your ready for testing that should do.
