Discuss Mounting Smoke alarm base. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

The standard aico base is not bad

Obviously anything else non-standard used as a base has to avoid draughts circumventing the smoke head

You probably mean aico manufacturing a better base ,?

They were definitely a pain if you had to triple up on wires

I do like Aico kit but they terminations can be a bit fiddly, especially when up a ladder. Push in type connections would be much easier.
