NAPIT Assessment - Passed

Got assessed this morning. Lots of questions and some tests and he was happy. 2 hours including a cup of tea.

Just out of interest, why choose napit? Out of the other 2 main schemes..?

I chose it on recomendation from a mate who is also a member. I must admit when I was looking the ELECSA website advertised their services the best out of all the others.

Congrats for passing. What kind of questions did they ask you during the assessment ? Curious, as this is a decision I ust make in the very near future.

Questions such as how to test a ring circuit, but also he wanted to know why the test was carried out and what readings you should expect to see at each test point.
Zs and Ze tests were asked to be explained and test c/o.
He had a list of 5 other questions such as safe isolation, fitting a CU in different location, I will try and remember the rest.
He then had a look at the work I had done (CU change and redial circuit) and I carried out a few test.
We went through the test certs thoroughly. Also he needed to see quals, cal certs, insurance.
