Hi Guys, Just had an email asking me to quote to wire some new builds, it said on the email that the Joists are Steel webbed and the cables will obviously need to be secured and clipped along these. How do you guys do this? is there a special type of clip or do u use a bit of all round band or what?

Also on the spec for the Lounge it says a Wi-fi point...Any ideas what this is? BT point or something different?

Cheers

caddy clips or girder clips. various sizes available to suit cable size and girder steel thickness. you can also get clips that take cable ties, ideal for getting multiple cables in, leaving the ties loose till you've got them all in.

Cheers for the replies.

It's a bit strange that they are wanting a wifi point, as they have specified it in the lounge, where there is also a BT point. Gonna email them and ask them exactly what they are meaning and if its necessary.

As said usually have a timber top and bottom, if not girder clips.

Wifi will be for a router. Ask client for spec. Will be a minimum RJ45, power point and possibly a phone point for ADSL.
