hi folks hope u's r well, seen a van 2day with niceic domestic installer on it? i was of the understandin that the domestic installer scheme was set up purely for part p which doesnt apply in NI so wats the benefit? i understand the approved contractor has benefits. Is it just so they can put nic logo on van? or am i missin somethin?:D
 
oh well you got competition!! im not sure on the ins and outs of NI and NICEIC but yeah probably on scheme to look good.! unless he does work in England
 
ah yes never thought of that if he was carryin out domestic wrk in england or wales he wud be av to be registered or have to get local big wigs to inspect, cheers lad prob solved
 
I saw a van today with no bages but on the side in big writing it said,, we install to the 17th edition,, is there any sparks that aint lol,,

ok before u start is there any proper sparks that dont
 
I know a few sparks that dont work to the 17th edition......... ones with elecsa too :confused:

goes through jbs like there are about to stop selling them!!!!

You can register with the NICEIC as a domestic installer in NI although it has nothing to do with part p.

Do I detect a number of under currents here?

Are Professional electricians fed up with the cowboys out there, especially the ones with NICEIC, Elecsa, Napit, Corgi, etc badges.

Obviously they don't give anyone a badge and especially not just because they are willing to pay money for it.

Profits first, standards second, surely not!
