Firstly, I would like to say this is what all PV systems should look like, they are a credit to you, it is good to see someone that takes pride in their work.

Hmmm, the AC thingy, is it that you can not turn each inverter off independently, of course we can not see how they are connected up inside, or am I buying the drinks?

34.16KWP, Suntech 280 panels, installed Dec 2011, (just in time phew)

Damn you Earth.

Keep your money LOL

Yes i had to separate the inverter supply as per sma guidelines and upgrade the supply to 4mm swa (although sma do stipulate 6mm!!)

And your photos are quite frankly inspiring Sir.
Nice, very nice.

if we're doing commercial PV installs...

26kWp on this roof installed in November, and another 21kWp or so on the opposite roof face installed in March once DNO permission had been received.

Rail extensions below the panels were needed to spread the load better across the steel work below.

I was pretty impressed that we managed to work from both ends into the middle (for speed) and get both sides to within a few mm of each other over 60m of roof.

I probably ought to go back and get some photos showing both sides at once, and without working installers and associated debris on the roof.

hold on, that was what I was getting at in my first post.
and it seems fairly small as well.
that's got to be worth half a pint at least surely?

Enecsys are great until one packs up.
The original batch of inverters were poor so we are constantly having to replace them(Enecsys pay of course).

So i asked Enecsys if we could mount inverters on the inside of the roof and they couldnt see why not so thats what i know do.
Sorts out all sorts of future issues.

Funnily enough, that's exactly where mine are installed and I specified that for that very reason. Repair is childs play. How many have gone wrong so far ? .... none, but I am in a better position if this were to happen.

I would like to point out, that I sell systems and then project manage the jobs from start to finish, I help out where I can, from installing, collecting any materials that may be needed, problem solving if I can help, and dealing with the customers from start to finish.
I watched the sparky, who was so fussy, but it showed in the results, and the performance of the system.
So the credit should really go to him. I am an engineer by trade, but from a practical background.

This was a ground mounted system that we installed a couple of months ago.

The place was a mud bath and took longer than it should. The meter/isolators box was supplied by Sibert Solar and it was particularly useful.

Well, i feel much better seeing some of these photos, impressive and inspirational.

I take my hat off to all who have posted on this thread, you are a credit to the PV industry.

My SolarEdge install. 16 x 235W Sanyo and SE3500 inverter. There's three matching panels on the east side of the gable too. Pity the sun's not shining today :-(

Very nice photo's of quality installs. Nice to see!

- great deals on PV equipment and Suntech 245w Mono panels available from 66p/w!

Do you work for EvoEnergy or do you just get your stuff from them?

The reason I ask is that your one and only other post on this forum was informing us that you get your inverters from EvoEnergy, who always have them in stock.
