...of what?
The amount of air movement. Ducting and room sealing will affect this. The fan flow rate is a factor also

...of what?
I'm sure there will be something in the Water Act that prohibits that, and if not there should be.Just remember not to swallow.
Why?I'm sure there will be something in the Water Act that prohibits that, and if not there should be.
I suspect this is only for new builds, extensions etc. I can't see it being applied to replacements or upgrades in existing buildings.I regularly install inline fans in replacement of ceiling fans. I'm unclear if the intention is for all of this to apply to upgrades or only more major installations. Most fans include a low and a high power mode and the function will be affected by the installation method.
I was speaking to an airflow rep the other day and he claimed their fans are tested with 2m of straight duct but thought others didn't.
It's not shower water it's condensed water from the shower extract steam.
Would condensed luke-warm water from shower steam be a good place to incubate legionnella bacteria? It's not shower water it's condensed water from the shower extract steam.
Probably, they have us for everything else.I assume there will be a fee involved in notification?
You will be resuscitating all sorts of little nasties including dead skinIt's not shower water it's condensed water from the shower extract steam.
Surely not MikeI'v ducted the shower ceiling fan into the top of the cold water tank, seems a waste to vent it to air through the roof.
One thing good to come out of this is someone will know what to get mike for Christmas next year.Surely not Mike
Do you mean that dead skin you breath in all night in the bedroom after exfoliating your body by undressing in the room. You will be resuscitating all sorts of little nasties including dead skin
And because of this, you think It's OK to add to it ?.My take on all of this, is that it is a shower fan and the condensed water that goes into the water tank is probably less contaminated than the water supply into it, we have private water main over a mile long, run in metal barrel and whenever the water board work on the six inch fire main beyond our supply the water is very brown for some time and I have to clean all the cistern inlet valves, such is living in a rural environment.
