I reckon after all the headscratching and titting about time on this job, he will end up £400 out of pocket.
I suspect this is a real possibility although it may have been said in jest.

The only problem is I don’t know what the hell this sparks is quoting them for?!?!
It sounds like you've quoted on a job the you don't fully understand the scope of works or any idea of how you're going to sign off or notify the work or how much this will cost.

It sounds like you haven't done any preliminary testing of the installation.

and found that I can do the job £400 cheaper and that’s still given me enough profit. They are happy and want me to proceed.
I'm sure the homeowner is over the moon with your price but how on earth do you know if you'll even break even if you you don't understand the scope of works and you don't know your signing off/notifying costs?
 
Not an ounce of jest Marvo. I can see it a mile off. Just as I can see a dissatisfied customer with half a job done in the not too distant future.

Giving a Certificate to customer!! BUT how you going to register the job if you're not in a 'scam' sorry "scheme"!!!

Anyone can pull cable, installs, etc!!! Leave the job to professionals!!!!
 
i've not read every post, but the previous spark who quoted is 1 MCB short of a full board.
 
main earthing conductor to gas and water, FFS,MCBs dis. in 5 seconds. mein gott.
