As we now look back at times gone by, he fronted what was an iconic pop show that kick started modern music

Oh yess!!

It was that programme and hearing The Shadows recording of Apache in 1960 that set me on the road to playing in a Rock 'n' Roll band.

(me to my future band mate: "WOW what's that??"

Future band mate: "It's an electric guitar".

Me: "What does the electric do?"

Future band mate: "Dunno .. but it sounds good!!")

Juke Box Jury was a great programme and David Jacobs was always the true gent and professional. The cynic in me is wondering how long it will be before somebody crawls out of the woodwork claiming he assaulted them and demanding £xxxxxxxxxxx compensation from the BBC ............
