I have a couple of outbuildings at home that would be really good for a system.
I only have single phase in the house and buildings.
They are 60 meters from the consumer unit in the house and I think the cable to the buildings is 6mm.
My question is (and I am trying to get some knowledge before talking to companies) if the panels were on the roof of the outbuildings and the inverter and generation meter where in the outbuildings then this would give a higher figure than if the if the generation meter was by the consumer unit.
My guess is that I would lose a bit of power up the cable to the buildings. I know that if I have the lights on in the winter and put a heater on the lights dim, so would the link cable be too small/long?
Not sure if I have made myself clear but I guess I am trying to cheat a bit with the loses.
Cheers
