The 'neatness' extends no further than the confines of the pattress, and even then there is room for improvement in the way the sheath has been stripped.
 
First choice is that the CPC's have been used as the strappers as it is an intermediate switch.

Second choice is that the black conductors are actually neutrals and this should just be a one way switch.
