Stacking tool boxes, packout etc

I have the Milwaukee packout. If you're going into one job a day and need a lot of your power tools it's great.
If you're going job to job it's a bit of a faff. I will say it's as tough as old boots. I believe they have introduced drawer units for both the Dewalt and Milwaukee setups. There are other versions such as Trend but have only used the Milwaukee.

For some jobs I have my stanley tote bag .Few festool boxes and I can use a large dewalt box to put in what i can use that day .Just saves so much carrying ! A multitool/ grinder. 18vSDS and 10.8v impact and drill . 2 batteries and a charger can all fit in one box rather than 5 boxes !

It's pretty much a personal preference thing.
When you're on a big job you roll in with just about everything you need on one trolley.
No carrying involved. I'll be honest, I don't often have the chance to use it.
The type of work you do would probably be the biggest factor on whether it would work for you.

On another note, the Trend stuff is too flimsy for professional use. OK for DIY.

"Trend" are in trouble. They lost the plot some years ago wanting to become suppliers of tools and stuff rather than just "cutters " which they are famous for . Their return levels are TOO HIGH and some retailers are unhappy .

Is the 3 drawer unit the same external height as the two?

Is much internal space lost to the runners? I've looked at the 2 & 3 drawer units online, but could never determine if they'd hold as much as the mid sized box.

Both are the same height.
