Hi Julian, Im sending you some information about a large 50kW solar installation i've been involved in. Its actually been performing better than we had expected. The property owner is now expanding the installation to fill their entire roof space which is around 500kW of panels! They were initially sceptical about the whole solar thing so its great to see them so enthusiastic about it now.

What is PV*Sol?

PV Sol is professional PV solar panel design software that allows you to build a 3D model of a building/situation, including buildings, chimney's even satellite dishes so that very accurate shading calculations can be carried out. It also allows you to select panels from over 400 solar panel manufacturers and compare thier performance on the same roof. PV Sol has the performance characteristics of all of these solar panels and also has a huge selection of inverters to choose from too.

There's also 1000s of weather data files to choose from so the software can align the solar panel performance with the local air temperature and wind speed to calculate the operating temperature of the panels and the consequential impact on solar panel performance........ pretty neat eh! and expensive.
