Hi - various discussions we've had are summarised in this Voltimum information paper. Interesting for me was they effectively say main protective bonding in PME installations should be external to the cable, due to heating risk. I'm still digesting this myself ...
The earthing functions that can be performed by the armouring of a cable - https://www.voltimum.co.uk/articles/earthing-functions-can-be-performed?b=EAU&ca=ARTICLE&t=NORM&utm_campaign=18_04_17_VoltiNews_OW_MONTH&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&p=S

Yeh I looked through that as well. If you follow the other links re bonding you see they seem to back track on the idea of using the armour as bonding unless it is very specific (rare) situations. So in summary only as a cpc predominantly. Voltimum come up with some interesting stuff.
