What a waste of time that is. As soon as 1st fix carpentry is complete, then 1st fix plumbing and electrics start. I wire it completely before they board it. They pull them through and I cut dry boxes in. I

Pretty much a standard procedure on most commercial jobs to put conduits in stud wall. Use caddy straps to fix them to.

It's personal preference as well.

Don't need containment in domestic as everything is usually on rcd side

I would always rather use conduit in stud wall with insulation.
It gives rewiring potential, it helps against thermal effects, and a metal back box on a nogging is heaps better than a crappy cavity box any day.
