Have just installed downlighters & extractor fans in 2 bathrooms at a guest house the existing CU is protected by separate a 100ma ELCB, I have installed 30 ma RCBO's on the circuits I have modified. Is the existing ELCB still compatible for the other circuits that I have not touched? I also need to replace an additional CU (feedind an annexe) which is fed from the existing CU via a 63A C type mcb & 10mm T&E cable. I have just read the post on fitting a second CU and wondered if I fitted the main switch before the henly blocks do I need to still retain the 100ma ELCB for the new CU even though it will have its own 30ma RCD?
I understand that it will need to remain to protect the existing circuits on the old board.
Also what is the maximum length of meter tails I can use.
