Dear all in Electricians forums

I am wanting to retrain as a domestic sparky and have spoke directy to electra, nic and napit to find out what exactly it is i need to become registered with them, so i can self certify my work, and i am currently looking for a college to enroll into to get my 17th edition CandG certificate. I have always worked in 'hands on' sort of work and am not completely useless in a practical sense when it comes to trade work. However, although I have done a bit of electrics around the house and helped out builders before, i am not 100% confident in saying that I am 'competent' enough to do jobs for money.
Because of this, and because i cant afford the seriously expensive 'retrain to be an electrician' courses (which are pretty useless anyway), i need someone who is willing to take me on for a bit to show me the more practical side of the job. I live in the leamington spa / warwick area, and as the title of the thread sugeests, i am willing to work for free in return for good quality training. I want to learn a lot, quickly.... so if you feel you can help please just email me back.

Many thanks for reading
