I'm installing a ceiling fan. From the ceiling I have 3 red wires connected to each other only. I have 2 black striped wires twisted together, 1 black wire and 1 white wire.

The ceiling fan has 1 black, 1 blue, 1 white and the ground (green).

My instructions say nothing about this type of wiring. What connects to what? I'm so confused.

You need to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy you a non contact voltage checker and find the Constance hot wire. The blue wire in the fan is for your light. Could you take a picture
