Compared to some that's coming into the electrical industry in the UK these day's Matty, i'm pretty sure your hard earned qualifications will trump the standards you'll find there, let alone match them!!

Perhaps you didn't know, that you can become an electrical domestic installer in the UK these day's after completing a 17 day course!!! Anything like that in Aussie?? ...I think NOT!! lol!!!


Nah there is nothing like that. They are pretty ---- over here... which is a good thing. We have to do four years on the job training and three years schooling. There is one course people can do to become a registered cabler. Which only allows them to work on extra low voltage. Such security systems. That is about 30 days or so. It seems unfair and extremely unsafe that people are allowed to work on low voltage after 17 days... thanks for all your advice. Exactly what I was looking for.
 
KONE is a big elevater/escalater company over here might be worth looking into them as far as i know there an international company
