Hello folks, ive just had a salesmen from yahoo on the phone offering me advertising on a 6 months basis for £150.00 + vat. It sounds reasonable enough.

I'm interested to know if any of you have paid for advertising on one of the big search engines and has it paid off?

how does that work mate, is it bnational or just when someone in you area is looking?
does it put you to the top of search engines?
do you need a certain type of website?
