Had a look at that link mate.Didn't want to open it properly. What is a yoozybox. Can't see no difference with the back boxes, except that you can still see the cables without the yoozybox:confused:If you have probs getting the cables in the box, just use a deeper one:D

The idea of this box is so you can first fix and second fix at the same time, to allow the plaster to plaster neatly around the box then you remove it once plastered, i think that it causes more work its not the correct way to do it, but in some cases may prove usefull

Ok its so the socket/switch can be used whilst the plastering is being done, also remember conector blocks are not seen as compliant every electrical connection must be only accessible with the use of a tool, tape does not count. even if its only temp

"Are you fed up with plasterers filling back boxes full of plaster, tripping the MCB’s? Are you fed up with plasterers leaving sockets and switches half in the wall, not straight and covered in plaster? Are you fed up with plastering around sockets and switches scared of an electric shock?"

this is a quote from the yoozy people:eek:

now we will have to put up with our 2nd fix stuff covered in plaster:mad:

what a load of ****

So plaster all over a socket is compliant, when it's dripping over the terminals.Connector block and tape any day mate:DWorks out cheaper in the long run.:D

Just trying to adere to the regs, i dont use them at all as the traditional 1st fix plaster 2nd fix is much safer and less work foe every one. Conector blocks and tape are a thing of the past now even using them on wall lights whilst your waiting for the client to chose some is not good practice and as ive said doesn't comply.
