    Lets be honest though.. just because the supply has been reinstated doesn't mean for one minute that anything/anyone is certified... There would have to be an agreement in place that states you aren't liable for the previous electricians work.

    Caution is the word... can you guarantee this persons work? Can you be sure he was a certified electrician? Will you be responsible for the first flat if you take on the rest? If so, can you be sure the work done is safe and compliant?

    I wasn't disagreeing with that... in fact I agree 100% that it's a terrible attempt and someone should be ashamed to have issued this and charged someone for it.. I was simply trying to offer an opinion on what I'd found by printing the document in question out and having a good read through it...

    Had a quick look on the interweb there typed in "eicr certificate" and clicked the first link and up came the very cert in this pdf.. downloaded it and the 'report number' on it? 12345... my impression is that someone who isn't very computer savy done this report.

    Printed this off and had a better look at it... now granted there are large sections of the report not filled out, however, having looked at it I think this may not be as bad as I first thought it was.. it almost looks like someone's computer software they've used for this has made a mess...

    Someone's having one here... think I've read through that about 5 times now and surely... SURELY this can't be legit? If it is I think it must have been passed to an office junior to type up but I'm sceptical, Surely no-one's this daft???
