    Go for the ones which have the 10 year lithium batteries,(ei161). you will be replacing the 9v batteries when they run out in the other units, and cursing at them when they are bleeping in the middle of the night

    Most I have wired have required a extra core for the night set back mode. I have also wired one where the stats needed a cat 5 to them. Most work better with a floor sensor in too. Best thing to do is read the instructions throughly

    I agree A type c breaker should solve the problem. We tend to fit type c on lighting breakers. Helped stoped breaker tripping when a filament lamp came to the end of its life too

    He said it was tripping out. But still hasn't come back to us about what part is tripping out. Most of the time on a water heater it is to do with the safety cutout. Unless the element is starting to fail.

    It will more than likely be the thermostats safety cut out that is tripping. Get them happening alot in immersion heaters. Try lowering the temp down on thermostat. If it still trips, you will probably need a new thermostat. That's if the safety cut out is built into the thermostat. Couldn't...

    Yes sure Will have to have a look in the office tomorrow. I always try to take a picture of the mat down, and the ohm reading on my multimeter. Just incase anyone tries to pin the blame on you.

    We have used a firm that come out to remair mats They were brilliant. Used a thermal camera to pinpoint damage. Repaired the Matt with minimal damage to floor. Did u take a reading of the resistance of the Matt before and after laying? Matt normally has a figure in ohms attached to it
