Help with an external extractor fan

Maybe you could use an in-line mixed flow fan which will be quieter and more efficient than an axial. This one is an S&P which is a good make and it has different speed options. There's also cheap nasty versions available but it depends on customer budget I'd personally avoid them....

    no access to db

To be honest I would see this as the perfect opportunity to buy a new tool such as an odd shaped spanner or screwdriver to access the door hinge fixings. Are you sure the door can't be inverted and installed in either direction, most DB's allow this. If not and if you can't remove the door...

    Medical Question

I wish it was only electrical tools but alas not. Recent purchases include a cordless vacuum pump that can pull a 10 micron vacuum, a second hand gebrit press tool for p;lumbing and 18 inch heamostats....just because

    Medical Question

I have a medical problem. I can't stop buying tools. If I see a well engineered or well manufactured tool I can't help buying it. It doesn't matter if I know I'm never going to use it. It doesn't matter if I already have a good working version of the same tool. It doesn't matter if I can't...

Help with an external extractor fan

That fan looks like it's bi-directional and maybe speed controllable as well. what's the application? Is it just for extraction in that room?

dismantling Air con in commercial setting

It would need 'pumping down' whereby one valve is closed at the outdoor unit and it's run untill all the gas is pumped into the receiver and then the second valve is closed. It would then be in the state it was originally shipped by the manufaturer before installation with the gas charge...

hand tools when your old and falling apart

I'd second both of these suggestions. Vessel make very good screwdrivers and the ball grips are easy on the hands although the range is limited. I also use the Bosch GO2 (avoid the original Bosch Go) and it's pretty good with the variable torque setting and obviously you can use any make and...

C.K VDE Interchangeable Slim Bladed Screwdriver Set

I wouldn't get too concerned about VDE ratings, it's mostly a sales pitch so manufacturers can profit more. VDE is just the name of an independant certification agency who declare that a tool complies with the tool definitions outlined in the IEC-60900 standard for insulated tools. Firstly as...

C.K VDE Interchangeable Slim Bladed Screwdriver Set

I have a draper expert torque screwdriver kit and the bits are kinda interchangeable with my wera set. The hex size of the shafts are the same so they fit nicely but if you put a draper bit into the wera handle it does fully lock but it can be pulled in and out by about 5mm. If you put a wera...
