Has anyone done an installation on a roof finished with Cambrian Slate? I should add we will be installing on a new-build roof.

    4Eco/Immersun Stops Trading

Still working OK here. I see SolarEdge have just launched an immersion heater controller, but I don't have any technical details about it, or a price!

    Failed Solar Edge optimser

Update: Sent SE a message on Facebook and was contacted by their UK support. New Optimiser required. They will arrange a service partner to come and fit it at no charge. My faith is restored!

    Failed Solar Edge optimser

So far not impressed by SE support responsiveness. Trouble ticket raised on the 15th remains dormant. I called them yesterday to be kept on hold for ages at position 1 in the queue. Selected call-back option and, guess what, no call back! The failed optimiser seems to communicate every...

    Failed Solar Edge optimser

Hi All, It looks like I have a failed SE optimiser (showing zero voltage on monitoring portal). The system was installed in November 2011. My installation company appears to have been dissolved. What are my options for getting it replaced? We are in SN14, near Bath. Thanks, Andy

Thanks Ted, Yes I realise I don't have to accept the smart meter. Another concern I have, regardless of whether I choose Smart or traditional, is that the supplying company is Siemens. I don't want to end up with a meter which is incorrectly configured to total up export and import as has...

    Smart Meters and Solar PV

I've just received a letter to say I need a new electricity meter. A smart meter is being offered. I have solar PV with an Immersun diverting excess energy to my water tank, and towel radiators when the water is hot. Hence, my export is comparatively low. My question is, can the deemed...

    SolaeEdge consumption metering

Just received this in an email from SE. Can anyone supply the referenced meter and sensor? Expert corner - Consumption metering Did you know that the SolarEdge monitoring portal can monitor the site's consumption in addition to the PV production? To do so you should connect a meter available...

Supply unplugged from grid and attached to generator

Generator packed in this morning at 06.30. Restarted at around 08.00 but is running at 47Hz! Inverter won't start up due to grid under frequency errors.

Supply unplugged from grid and attached to generator

We had noticed that our supply was going to be switched to a generator today. Indeed it happened - this is now installed at the bottom of the street. Can you guess what time it was attached? SolarEdge inverter seems happy enough, although it hasn't been very sunny today.
