    need to change faulty ballast to new helvar 58. not sure of connections as new unit has only four outlet connections don't want to be zapping anything? old unit (arlen 170) which btw was wrong unit has l.n.e. input and similar 4outlet terminals which feed each end of the fluro tube

    smoke detectors between floors...

    i have to provide smoke detectors to the flat above the shop (1) and 3 in the shop itself. im going to fit a wireless one in the flat.. so am i right in saying only one in the shop needs to be wireless if i hardwire the other 2? or will i have to fit all four the same..??:dunce2:

    Called out because the Honeywell digital timer(does ch & hot water) blew up!! They've recently had a new combo boiler fitted.. Which is temporarily connected to a supply but the timer etc has been left disconnected!! Plumber thought there may be a faulty/damaged cable, But no breakers/RCD...

    on this issue... Some of the stainless steel dog baths have an electric motor to elevate them. this is controlled with foot pedals...the 13amp plug comes on a 2m flex...!!! in this instance im going to feed this into the adjoining kitchen and term on a 13 f/s outlet.

    :xmas: it aint that...its the fact the customer has to pay for the upgrade....and if it involves a new board and full test all existing ccts then its gonna cost them more. i havent got to pay for any of it.
