    3 phase steam oven conversion

I have retired from Solar installs and now finally looking to do my retirement project - Daimler V8 2.5. I needed some powder coating done but the cost for a few small items was ridiculous so I got into the DIY side. I found myself a 3 phase commercial steam oven (FINOX) which is massive so well...

Inverter waiting but plenty of voltage so what is missing

I have 2 arrays on 2 SMA inverters. One is 500v single string and the other is paralleled 2 x 300v strings. I have just lost one of my arrays via SMA 2500. It is lit but no power generation. I replaced with spare Steca which would not work as it needs more PV voltage so I had to swop over the...

    Aquion batteries (Salt water)

Aquion = American... and we have had so many supplier failures in UK where do you start. I already approached one company Receiver looking for the Aquion bankrupt stock after they asked me for payment of an invoice which had clearly been paid months before. No apology and no information on the...

    Aquion batteries (Salt water)

Can anyone point me in the direction of some Aquion battery stacks? I think there are some sitting in a warehouse somewhere after the company went bust two years ago but it is hard to find out where they might be. Thanks all.....

I will get something to you.

Adding PV diverter to battery system - using delay switch??

Thanks but I already have the diverter. It is an older model as I believe newer versions have an integral time delay so I am trying to add my own retroactively.

Adding PV diverter to battery system - using delay switch??

I am trying to add an Apollo Gem diverter to my battery grid tied system (Victron ESS). It is not going to work because both systems are fighting for the surplus solar power to either charge the battery or divert to immersion. If I add a delay timer switch in the immersion circuit so the load to...

Simple relay for secondary pump circuit

I think I just cracked it! I will do a diagram and publish in case anyone else needs to do this. Just monitoring at the moment. Thanks

Simple relay for secondary pump circuit

Relays installed and I can get pumps to run independant but the boiler is still back feeding the relays. Boiler is on its own terminal with connections to each relay. One zone calls and relay energises pump and boiler fires up. Then zone UFH calls and pump 2 starts. All good. BUT when either...

Simple relay for secondary pump circuit

Thanks guys. By way of explanation the pumps are in parallel therefore running either one is pulling directly off the boiler flow so you do not need to run both. Most diagrams show the UFH pump in series which means you are trying to pull flow though the main boiler pump or have both running and...

Simple relay for secondary pump circuit

Thanks but I saw these and it is overkill for one pump circuit. I just need something in an enclosure next to the heating system wiring centre. It only has to switch a 25 watt pump at 240v when the motorised valve calls for heat.

Simple relay for secondary pump circuit

I am looking for guidance on adding a second pump for the underfloor section of my central heating. I am using a blending valve for the UFH supply by teeing off the main boiler feed into the 3 way valve and then to the pump and UF circuit valves (2). I am ok with the wiring I simply need a relay...

    Cambrian Slates

I have been asked to quote a 5.5kw system on a very nice looking slate roof in the west of Ireland. I do not want to have any issues so would you think removing slates and doing integrated is the answer as the weather can be brutal right on the coast. Can you PM me the system you would use? Thanks

    DC-coupled off-grid PV-plant. Meter and FiT.

Why not AC coupled system? We got FIT on it no problem once we explained to the MCS experts the difference between stand alone and non-standalone! All generated power is then metered as normal.
