I really don't know anything when it comes to electricity so I'm not sure this even belongs in this section. If not, I humbly apologize. I'll first explain why I want to do this and then I hope someone will tell me how :tongue3:. I suffer from Hyperhidrosis, basically that's a condition that causes my hands to sweat profusely and in social interactions its a real killer.

So I've been googling about it and one person came with a solution and that's to shock your palms in water with a current of up to 24 volts each second day. And apparently it works tremendously well!
This is the video:

He prefers Universal Adapter Power Charger for Laptop instead of battery, and that's what I'd like to use for this too. I plan to buy this:
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Adapter-15V-18-5V-19-5V/dp/B0027BUS0M

Now my 2 questions are; When you connect this to an outlet and its on, where do you put alligator clips on charger?
If I limit charger for up to 24 volts and I put both alligator clips on, will that be 48 volts?

I know that these questions have to be ridiculous, almost laughable to you but have in mind that I'm really uneducated when it comes to this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi Zifran, Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of your embarrassing condition. I do not have any experience of this "treatment" and do not condone or support it's use or anything else that deliberately subjects somebody to electric shock. You are responsible for you own safety at all times.
A person with a history of heart disease or has a heart pacemaker fitted should not deliberately shock themselves under any circumstances.
However, if you wished to experiment with the "treatment" here is a method to do it as safely as possible.
If you must experiment with this "treatment" please DON'T do it with any form of mains powered universal charger or power supply, because they don't contain an isolation transformer, if it was to develop a fault it could allow mains voltage on to the output and put you at risk of severe electrical shock and death.
For your safety keep the battery voltage as low as possible, as in the Youtube clip 12 volts is an ideal maximum. Also, fit an in-line fuse-holder in the positive lead from the battery and fit a low value fuse (1A maximum), so that if the stainless steel trays/bowls or croc-clips were to touch, shorting the battery, the fuse will blow protecting the battery, leads and trays. Failure to do this could lead to an exploding battery in such circumstances. In-line fuse holders and fuses are available from most auto-factors (eg. Halfords) or car spares shops.
It seems wise to use stainless steel bowls allowing a deeper water pool to ensure the hands contact with the water and not the steel tray/bowl.
Put the bowls on a table separated by a distance of about 12", fill the bowls 3/4 full, connect your negative lead from the battery to the left-hand bowl with the croc-clip and the positive lead to the right-hand bowl. For the treatment obviously put left hand in left-hand bowl and right hand in the right-hand bowl.
