First time poster here seeking a little advice/confirmation

I have spurred off to a fused switch and from there running two 2.5mm cables to the alcoves either side of a fireplace where shelving have been built into.

The shelving either side of the fireplace has LED strips fitted which are running from a 12V 60W multi port driver that comes with a standard UK mains plug. Now being as these are to be powered from that fused switch, I’m assuming that I can simply cut of the mains plug from each of those multi-port drivers and hardwire each of them directly to those 2.5mm cables using a 13A terminal line connector such as this:
B&Q White 13A Terminal line connector | DIY at B&Q - https://www.diy.com/departments/b-q-white-13a-terminal-line-connector/178107_BQ.prd?storeId=1199&&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6J-636m_ggMVyNbtCh3dxA6XEAQYAiABEgJQWfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Any reason why this can’t/shouldn’t be done?

Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

No that's fine looks like you have it planned out fine. You wouldn't need to use 2.5mm though, 1.5mm and a 3 or 5amp fuse in the Fused switch would suffice Baz. Only thing does it invalidate the warranty or would that matter?

Thanks for the reply Chivers, much appreciated.
It may actually be 1.5mm rather than 2.5mm, I will check. That wiring was put in place some time ago by an electrician in preparation for when I got around to decorating and building the shelves. Good point about the possibility of invalidating the warranty of the drivers but they each take IEC c7 (figure 8) power leads so I can use some others that I have laying around which I can cut the plugs off of and wire in, keeping the originals intact should the drivers need to be returned to the supplier
