Kitchen electrical dishwasher

Hi, I was just wondering if I have a dishwasher on a circuit of its own so I'm looking to put a double socket beside the fused spur in kitchen used for the dishwasher is it ok to just spur of the dishwasher fused spur straight into the double socket.

Possibly not, but, Possibly.

It depends on a number of factors (this list isn't exhaustive);

• Whether or not you plan to take from the feed or load of the spur.
• Size of the OCPD and whether the CCC of the cable could take a larger OCPD if necessary.
• Size and type of the cable.
• Current layout of the circuit length, composition and routing.
• Whether or not there is RCD protection.
• The Current state of the circuit and whether its fit for continued use of alteration.

If your unsure of any of these then its probably better to get an electrician to do it for you, it may cost less than you think and in the end can you put a price on the piece of mind that its all done correctly?
