I wish to fit an 8 module consumer unit outside of my house which will then feed: an outbuilding sockets, outbuilding lights, garden fence lights, garden sockets, house extension electrics, front gardens sockets and front garden lighting.

I think my options are: fit a consumer unit to the outside wall of the side of my house and place this in a weatherproof container or buy a consumer unit which is already IP65 rated.

Is there a best practice or preferred way to go about this? Ultimately the consumer unit would be within my house extension but I'm a year away from that and I need something up now to feed electricity into the new out building which is away from my house. Any recommendations on consumer units and where to buy from would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
