Hi all,
I've recently spoken to our NICEIC assessor who mentioned an email that should have went around all contractors stating that any contractors carrying out EICRs must now have professional indemnity insurance.
With them specifically saying this is needed for EICRs, does this mean it isn't actually required for all other electrical works?
My understanding is that if a company designs all or part of an installation or provides professional advice regarding an installation device, PID is required.
Any advice towards this would be great.
Thanks.
