i finnish my 2330 lv2 in december but due to the fact i wont be able to do my 2356 if i start my lv3 in jan i am thinking im better off finnishing my 2330 lv2 doing my 17th getting employed with a spark if i can find something in shropshire that is and then when they sort the new course out doing my 2357 in one and hoping i can skip a load of it due to having my 2330 lv2 but ive heard the 17th course is changing next year so what happens if i take the 17th edition now will it be a case of next year im going to have to take another exam at additional cost if so am i better waiting till then to do my 17th?

If i were you i would do your 17th edition, because if something changes next year it will only be an update of 1 day and a short exam.why wait get the qualification under your belt,at least then you can get some work going.

imho you would be better off finishing your level 3. From what i have been told the 17th edition & insp & test content is not changing just the numbers as it will go on the new qcf framework. Also there will be something to replace the NVQ 2356. Possibly several units of the work based parts of the 2357, As there are many sparks with tech certs that dont have the nvq and if they want jib grading they will have to obtain the nvq.
