Hi, i have been quoted £455 for removing existing C.U. (no RCD) and replacing with a new one with 2 RCD's (toolstation have them for £78)
there are 9 circuits in all, it seems a bit steep to me, but perhaps i am out of touch. it is easy to access.
i would appreciate any comments.

Thank you all so much for your replies,you have given me lots to think about, i think it is finely balanced, but because they work shifts, i am minded to go with the electric radiators, and just suggest heating the water when they want a bath, (shower is electric) With regard to economy 7...
Hi, has anyone got any experience of replacing storage heaters with electric radiators? all the adverts say they will be cheaper to run, but i cant find any real evidence.

Hi, any idea how long RCD protection has been legal req for installations in let out flats. i am savage to find out, my builder did not install CU with RCD , now i cant get a landlord certificate, i did not put him under cost pressure. Thanks. G.
