    110v ac coil help

    Hi to all the smarter sparks on here, Can any one answer this question. If a contactor has a 110v ac coil fitted, will it operate when supplied from a 110v cte transformer giving 55v to each side of A1 & A2. I have a feeling it wont so any info would be gratefully recieved. Cheers All Andy

    I am wanting to run a usa knife sharpener 110volts AC in an Australian car. Is there a problem using an inverter 12v DC to 240 vAC and then a transformer from 240 to 110 AC? I am advised the sharpener needs a min of 120W and the inverter I have supplies 200W
