Iv got a customer with two boilers in a large domestic site, and he wants the two boilers to run alternate weeks as of the large loads and maintenance, just wondering if anyone could pass on a link for a programmer that could do this or know anywhere I can buy the parts to build a small control panel? Cheers

Yes it would work, but it's what he's asked for and iv been brought into the job by the plumber, I'm not doing the main wiring, iv just been left a circuit and spur by the electrician, who doesn't know how so won't even try to wire it :/

i think i would get a 2 channel 14 day timer and interrupt the switch live going to each boiler (only one on each channel and prog for alternate weeks) most plumb merchants would have them. just me though

no stupid idea i will think again

Yeah that's what I originally thought, but asking at local wholesalers they didn't know of a 14 day programmer, il nip into the local plumbers merchant later and see, cheers

Yes my original idea was to take the supply from spur, out to heating box and normal controls for pumps, then send the sw live to fire the boiler through the 14 day prog to split between the two boilers? Using heating and hot water alternate weeks?

problem with that way is programmer would lose supply every time system not calling for heat/water better for switch boiler live to go through contactor controlled by 14 day timer (powered up 7 days off 7) (do you agree) but cant find one yet

could you not do every three and half days with a seven day prog as might be better not leaving boiler off for week anyway?
