Hey people,

Im looking for a new combi drill & impact driver

I have see this dewalt set that I quite like,

http://m.NoLinkingToThis/p/dewalt-d...-twin-pack-combi-drill-impact-driver-xr/62046

2 4aH batteries should last a while.

but I'm not sure what's better Makita or dewalt ??? What's better in your opinion ??? What lasts longer and takes a beating better ???

the Makita equivalent set comes with 3ah batteries

Or for the same money is there a even better make ?

cheers in advance people

I've got the Dewalt XR range aswell now, No Faults what so ever. Great kit. don't know about all this going down hill stuff is about.

Used to have all the makita 18v li-ion gear, but they can ram it. after my 5th battery went faulty, I'm not buying it anymore.

Like many on here I've been through many different makes and currently on Makita 18 volt, batteries fit many items.
i went hitachi for a while which was ok BUT, if it goes wrong it has to go back to the factory, mine was away for 2 weeks whereas Makita is mended at your local dealers
i was on dewalt years ago and hopefully it has improved as we found it pretty bad

Dewalt pack here, Make you get 4ah and the drill with the metal chuck (The professional rage)

MAKITA vs. DEWALT - YouTube

New Makita: 15seconds per hole / 21 done
Dewalt: 13seconds per hole / 23 done

Comes in a proper hard case, you can also get a tool box of the same nature and clip them together so you have a free hand ;)

I've recently gone for a three pack milwaukee m18 set
Sds 4amp
Brushless combi percussion drill 3amp
And impact 2amp
Plus a spare 3amp
Charger toolbag and bit-set.

I bought the kit as I has a big crush on the sds, tried it at a tool test day a C. E. F.
but I got to be honest, I've been most impressed by the brushless combi, it's got a fair pair of testicles on it.
I shopped and shopped about, and played a few dealers against each other.
Can't say wot I paid, but I was more than happy with the price.
I've done the rounds with all makes and models. Just retired my makita 18v lion set great kit, but I had so much problems with their batteries it was disgraceful.
I run a Bosch corded sds and it's been a true warrior. Would defiantly buy another when I finally dies.
As for dewalt, I don't know much about their new kit, but I always think of carpenters lol

I bought a makita twin pack a month or so ago, its the bhp458 combi drill and the 146 impact driver came with 2x 3ah 18v batteries and a solid case, delivered for £280. I think there both awsome bits of kit and am now wanting there angle grinder to add to my collection
