I'm working in an office block and am wiring the shower rooms. I have 20 lights switched by 2 pirs. I'm just wondering would it work okay if I looped the switch wire out of the first Pir through all my lights and end it at the second Pir. Or do I need a direct link from Pir to Pir.
Thanks

Hi welcome to the forum :)

I'm not too sure what your asking here, you need to explain how the PIR's control the lights - does each PIR control its own group of fitting or do both PIRs control the same set of fittings?

With 20 lights as well, have you checked the rating of the PIR to switch so many fittings?

Based on info given looping a switched wire through the lights and to both PIR's will work assuming all 20 lights are on the same circuit....are they?

Yes just the one circuit. I left the first Pir with my switch wire and went through all my lights and my end of line for the switch wire is the second pir

Hi dude, the above would suggest that what you have installed, was not to any drawing,so,yes, you have imparted a modicum of design.

The method you have chose, would be ample/disastrous,depending on the type/load of the lighting fitted.

I think that's what is implied in post 8
