Hi all was wondering if anybody could help who has knowledge with sky installation , currently doing a rewire and am pulling in the sky points so the cable is hidden, in total there is going to be 8 tvs and they want sky for each one of them, pulling in twin satalite cable for sky plus but do they all go back to the dish or do they have to go back to a splitter box some where????

Thanks Ryan , to be honest I have no knowledge on sky what so ever , they want to be able to watch seperate channels in each room , I was thinking that they all must have to run back to some kind of splitter or is that wrong??

Its also worth running a Ariel cable to each TV in case they want Freeview on some of them. I've ran the a cable from the bedrooms in my house to behind the TV in the lounge and came off the R2 connection on the Sky box to a SLX booster to supply both so that I can use the Sky eyes to turn the TV over from other rooms (be aware this isn't HD though) . This also supplies them with the signal for the freeview as my Sky box has a Ariel to it.

Max 8 outputs from sky dish so if they want sky/freesat in each room and prob sky+ in living room you will need to use a 5 x 16 multiswitch. Fit a quattro lnb on dish and run 4 feeds to attic ( sat signal has 4 "bands" verticle high/low and horizontal high/low). Run twin feeds from each tv back to multiswitch and re route aerial feed to switch also. At this point id get a aerial installer in to connect switch and diplex tv points. Using this method means each tv point would have option of freeview and or sat feed, or 2 sat feeds.

Hope that makes sense. If you need any advice pm me.

Steve
