Tazz you say when we designed the optima ? are you talking in general or were you involved in the design ? and yep the NVM meant the panel would hold the codes and other settings if powered down where to old membrane optima was wiped clean and reverted to FSC

For my sins oldtimer yes worked in Liverpool factory for A1 and ADE in early days....all owned by Honeywell now
ADE was just a little shop in Aintree 1982

even if it's not got the cut-off timer, it will go into dying duck sound after about 30 minutes.
 
yea but dont mention A1 Omnicrom a slight high supply voltage and it went into alarm and locked out on the user

Omincron 600 and 700 is a sin word oldimer, the destaster of A1..lol....luckly before my time, But we sorted it with omnicron 800 with nvm. and advantage zx6 they became good sellers

Thanks very much indeed for the help here and the offer to help setting it back up but I think I will leave it disconnected!
 
Disconnect the battery on the outside sounder,disconnect the battery inside the panel, disconnect mains supply, job done, inoperable alarm. Ps put ear plugs in ears while working on outside sounder (sab)
