Bonding railings - rope light installation

Hi folks, quick question: I'm looking at installing rope lights for a customer as part of a garden lighting solution, these would be fixed to a railing. Should I be bonding the railing as part of the installation? Rope lights are 230V so I'm thinking that the railing needs to be bonded.

Any advice welcome,

It's pointless bonding anything in a garden situation as its impossible to create a zone of equal potential.
So no is the answer.

definite NO. you'd be making it less safe by doing that.
