Short answer NO!
Detailed answer:
At the very least you would have to change the plug, power cable, motor stator (windings) and possibly the motor rotor (certainly if its a wound armature) and speed controller...effectively everything bar the casing, gearbox and chuck!

Why do that if its for building site work stick an RCD plug on it then there is no problem

wouldnt it just run slower? less volts, same resistence, less amps so less watts?

More likely not enough power to even start the motor. I have a problem where a lot of my work is both site and domestic work so rather than buy 2 drills just bought a 36v cordless.

Mainly use cordless myself too. Had a 230 jigsaw a few years back and put a 110 plug on
and tried it. Worked fine. Never tried it on drill though.

As above answer is no, also if it is a fairly new drill and still in warranty this will render it void.
If it is for site work and you want a powered drill then a 230v will not be allowed on building sites EVEN if you changed it to 110v, increasingly now these things are being checked.

why would you want to??? as for taking it on site and sticking in an RCD Where would you put it as99% site electrics are 110V and none that I know of would allow this anyways go buy a 110v drill I hear that Roundstool distribution may have special offers on for forum members
