Discuss Can a car battery charge faster? in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

That would depend on the load on the battery and the charge current.

If you are driving a decent distance, and you don't have high current accessories switched on (heated screens, seats etc) then your alternator will be putting charge into your battery rather than it being drained.

A lot depends on the age of the car, the condition of the battery and also whether the car has a modern 'smart' alternator.

I assume this is connected with your other thread. If it is then what you are trying to do isn't possible.
