Can anyone identify this?

Working on a refurbishment of an early 1980's flat and found this in the kitchen.
Yellow conduit is plastic, so it could be gas. Does anyone know what it is?

Looks like a gas poker to start up a wood or coal fuelled aga or raeburn.

In Australia yellow is gas line for sure !

it's deffo gas. looked at it yesterday with OP. what it was for, i ain't got a scooby. maybe a gas fridge???
